Although most of the big name machinery suppliers decided not to attend the Toronto Plastex Show; En-Plas Inc. (an established Canadian company of over 35 years) felt it was crucial to support our Canadian molders and participate in the Plastex Show which ran from Jun 16-18, 2015.
En-Plas Inc. showed off the latest in technology, running a brand new 80ton Nissei hybrid machine along with a Yushin RC150 full servo robot. We incorporated a Keyence vision system as part of a practical high-tech turnkey solution. This vision system was looking for short shots, but can also be utilized for many other applications such as confirming inserts and insert locations, part integrity, quality control, robot positioning, and other places where visual data is needed. This has been a growing trend within the industry and we predict vision systems will be a massive component of the turnkey solutions we offer.
