High-End Take-out Robot FRA produced by YUSHIN PRECISION EQUIPMENT CO., LTD. (President and Representative Director: Mayumi Kotani; headquarter/ Kyoto-shi, Japan; capital/ 1,985.66 million JPY; hereinafter, YPE), a specialized manufacturer of take-out robots for injection-molded plastic products, won the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2019 prize awarded by the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Essen, Germany.

The Red Dot Design Award, an international design award with a history of more than 60 years, is recognized as one of the three most prestigious awards in the world, along with the iF Design Award in Germany and the International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) in the USA. The Red Dot Design Award, which reviews the design commercialized in the past two years, spans three disciplines: product design, brands & communication design, and design concept. In 2019, more than 5,500 product entries were evaluated on nine criteria including innovation, functionality, quality, ergonomics, symbolism, etc.

Up to now, YPE’s High-End Take-out Robot FRA has already won three prizes in Japan: JSME Medal for New Technology (JSME), MACHINE DESIGN AWARD (the Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun), and The Energy-Efficient Machinery Award (JMF). Additional winning of the internationally recognized Red Dot Design Award proves that its high-end product design is acclaimed not only in Japan, but also in the world.
